This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.
The Education Services program provides students with the basic skills needed for careers in education, child care, and social services. Through internships at elementary schools and child care centers, students develop skills in communication, working as a team, and taking directions from supervisors. The core areas of study include professionalism and program management, teaching and learning, healthy and safe environments, human growth and development, families and community, and career exploration and preparation. Graduates are prepared to enter a two- or four-year college program, as well as a variety of entry-level positions in early childhood education.
This program includes or prepares for the following credential(s): Vermont Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship.
